1. Preamble

This delivery and packaging regulation applies to all suppliers of the companies of the TORWEGGE Group, hereinafter referred to as TORWEGGE, unless special written agreements have been made. It is intended to ensure an optimum and trouble-free flow of materials between suppliers and TORWEGGE.

TORWEGGE strives for a longlasting relationship based on partnership with its suppliers. Suppliers are expected to do:

  • Quality
  • Adherence to schedules
  • Quantity reliability
  • Flexibility

2. Impact of non-compliance

The incoming goods inspection at TORWEGGE is limited to an identity and quantity check. TORWEGGE shall also check whether there are externally recognisable obvious damages or defects. There shall be no further inspection obligations. TORWEGGE reserves the right to carry out quality inspections from a statistical point of view without restricting the supplier's obligations under this delivery regulation. The target is to restrict the quality inspection (e.g. skip-lot procedure) or to exclude it as a matter of principle if the delivery quality meets the expectations.

TORWEGGE shall immediately notify the supplier of any defects as soon as they are discovered in the ordinary course of business. In this respect, the supplier waives the objection of omitted incoming inspection or delayed notification of defects. For concealed defects, this period for notification of defects shall commence upon discovery of the defect. If delivery is made directly from the supplier to TORWEGGE's customer, the period for notification of defects shall commence upon receipt of the notification of defects by the customer to TORWEGGE. TORWEGGE shall not be subject to any further inspection or complaint obligations than those described here.

Upon receipt of a notice of defects or the supporting documents, the supplier shall immediately submit its comments within two working days in the form of an 8D report. The statement has to contain:
